An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated to join the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals as Deputy Director of Finance - Operations.
We are one of the busiest Trust's in the country and carry out nearly one million out-patient appointments, day case procedures and in-patient admissions annually across Norfolk.
An essential member of our senior financial team, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our Level 2 FFF accredited Finance function as the Trust continues to develop and grow, working closely with the Chief Finance Officer, Director of Finance - Operations and Deputy Director of Financial Strategy and Planning.
You will be a qualified accountant with either a Master's degree in a relevant subject area or the equivalent experience. You should be able to evidence continuous professional and personal development as well as have extensive experience at a senior level in a large and complex organisation. You will have a good understanding of the wider NHS agenda, with extensive experience in successful financial planning and management, building positive relationships at all levels and will possess the ability to operate in a highly regulated setting.
We are looking for an excellent communicator who is able to engage and influence staff across disciplines; you should be analytical, flexible and have the experience and ability to lead and manage a large team whilst remaining committed to personal and professional development.
Main duties of the job
- Provide financial advice and information on the income and expenditure, capital cash and other key financial metrics to the CFO, Chief Executive, Board and Divisions.
- Lead the day-to-day operational management of the finance department
- Deputise for the CFO and Director of Finance - Operations as required
The position provides the opportunity to play a lead role in the further development of the finance department, building on from our Level 2 FFF accreditation
