Job summary
Dilham Ward is a 20 bedded elective surgical ward caring for patients having colorectal and urology surgery. We are an integral part of The Sir Thomas Browne Academic Colorectal Unit, the largest colorectal department in England with excellent patient outcomes. Our surgeons are internationally recognised, and we work collaboratively with them to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. You will become a valued member of this committed and supportive team, who are passionate about continuous improvement and providing excellent patient care. Main duties of the job
Work with all members of the Ward/Department clinical team within the multi-disciplinary framework. Maintain a high standard of patient care under the direction of the Ward/Department Sister/Charge Nurse.
Act as a leader in the clinical area, in the absence of a more senior member of staff. To work in accordance with the principles set out by the Nursing/Midwifery professional bodies and Trust Policies.
Support leaners and junior colleagues, developing learning opportunities where able for both staff, learners and patients.
You will also support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate NNUH's 'PRIDE' values of People focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence.
