Job summary

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital is a 1,200 bed teaching hospital with State-of-the-art facilities for modern patient care. We work closely with the University of East Anglia's faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences to train health professionals and undertake clinical research. The main hospital is on the Norwich Research Park and is a PFI facility. We also run the Cromer Hospital as well as several other off site facilities, including facilities as the prestigious Quadram institute.

We have a wide range of more specialist services such as cancer care and radiotherapy, orthopedics, plastic surgery, ophthalmology, rheumatology, children's medicine and surgery, and specialist care for sick and premature babies. We have world class facilities, highly skilled staff and low infection rates. Our patients rate us highly on quality of care having friendly approachable staff.

The Estates development office supports the trust in the delivery of Construction and development projects, minor works and refurbishments.

Working with PFI system partners and with Internal stakeholders, ensuring project outcomes are delivered in alignment strategic objectives.

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Project Manager to join the Estates Development team at NNUH. The role will ensure the delivery of capital projects in support of the Organisational Strategy, and in partnership with the Trust's PFI and Non PFI system partners.

You will act as a senior member of the team responsible for development of the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital Estate, working in partnership with Trust, PFI and Non-PFI system partners.

Leading the design and implementation of a broad range of Capital projects, ensuring that they complement organisational strategy.

Provides specialist and professional construction and estates projects advice to other estates staff, directors, senior management of the organisation, and external agencies

To work alongside the Head of Estate Development and other Capital Project Managers, ensuring that combined output is compliant with strategic intent, relevant legislation, policy and process.

Delivers policies and strategies for implementation of the organisation's capital programme to improve environment for patients and staff.
