Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to work in an exciting and innovative Unit. The Aylsham Medical Day Unit (AMDU) caters for a variety of patients who would otherwise require a hospital admission. It has been developed to cater for a variety of specialties and pathways such as administering blood transfusions, paracentesis, Out-Patient Antibiotic Therapy and ambulatory Heart Failure service to name just a few. It is a busy unit catering for up to 800 patients per month and it prides itself on excellent patient feedback.
Many of these services are nurse-led but they also have close links with a variety of medical and surgical teams as well as specialist nursing teams. We are constantly evolving in ways to try and support the rest of the hospital to reduce admission rates.
If your application was successful, the next step would be to lead on developing and introducing more patient pathways to improve the patient experience.
