LOCUM CONSULTANT POST IN PLASTIC SURGERY
Applications are invited for the consultant post in the Plastic Surgery. This is a part time post required to provide continuity of service in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery.
This is a locum consultant appointment with a view to providing services in Ipswich Hospital under the remit of Plastic and Reconstructive surgery department at NNUH. This is a full-time post of 10 PA's offered initially on a 12 month locum basis with the anticipation of a substantive appointment at the end of this term subject to a further competitive application process.
Main duties of the job
The appointment is to the Trust, not to specific hospitals.
All consultants, including the appointee, will be expected to be involved in implementing the Trust's Clinical Governance programme. This includes active participation in clinical audit, quality, clinical guidelines/pathways, professional development, appraisal and risk management.
The appointee will provide general Plastic Surgical outreach support for Ipswich Hospital and general Plastic Surgical cover at Ipswich Hospital. The majority of work is dealing with skin cancers, providing leadership in the MDT and help streamline referrals to the regional Norwich University Hospital Skin Cancer Service. Participation in the on call rota at NNUH is encouraged but is not mandatory
