Senior Clinical Fellow - Rheumatology
This Senior Clinical Fellow post is for a fixed term period of 12 months in response to increase outpatient activity in Rheumatology. The post will be based within the Rheumatology department delivering outpatients clinics, assessing new referrals and some follow-up patients to support other members of the team to undertake more new consultations.
The post holder will be expected to undertake 4 clinics per week and to be available at other times to support daytime Rheumatology on call when required. The on-call is currently undertaken by SpRs during the working week and an on-call consultant (24 hour cover) and the post holder will be expected to support the on-call middle grade on an approximate 1 in 5 basis.
Main duties of the job

The appointment is to the Trust, not to specific hospitals.
All employees, including the appointee, will be expected to be involved in implementing the Trust's Clinical Governance programme. This includes active participation in clinical audit, quality, clinical guidelines/pathways, professional development, appraisal and risk management.
