Job summary

The Stoke-on-Trent NHS Talking Therapy Service is an innovative primary care service which involves partnership arrangements between North Staffordshire Combined Health Care (NSCHCT), Midland Partnership Foundation Trust (MPFT), and the Third Sector. Due to retirement we are looking to recruit a part time Duty Manager to provide support to the smooth running of the Duty/Assessment function of the team. Candidates must have a core professional qualification and have both clinical and managerial experience ideally in a psychological therapy setting.

Main duties of the job

The role requires the post-holder to undertake assessments within the IAPT framework and triage activities including risk assessment for the service within IAPT guidelines.

The post holder is responsible for the day to day running and operation of the Duty/assessors function of the team and associated resources alongside the other senior Managers in order to achieve effective assessment, advice and professional support to the wider team. A major part of their role is to use their clinical and managerial experience to provide leadership, supervision and support for the team.Additional responsibilities include the management of staff, working environment and practices, and resources.
