Job summary
The Trust is seeking a part time Consultant Psychiatrist to join its community services to replace one of our community consultants following a move to a different post.
The post-holder will be responsible, with the support of junior medical staff and nurse practitioners, for the management of community patients in the Newcastle CMHT's catchment area.

About us
The Trust employs approximately 29 consultant psychiatrists in a range of specialties. Our trust provides specialist Mental Health (adult and old age), Addiction (inpatient, and community in North Staffordshire only), Neuropsychiatry and Learning Disability, and tier 3 child psychiatry services across Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire.
We work closely with one (merged) local Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), for Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire. We also work very closely with the local authorities in these areas. We have also forged closer links with the two local universities, University of Staffordshire and Keele University. The Trust has been a partner in the development of the Keele University Medical School and remains one of its sites for the teaching of Medical students. The Trust aims to continuously work to improve the health and wellbeing of its local communities.
The Trust is one of a handful of Mental health Trusts in UK rated as outstanding by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
