Are you passionate about improving patient care through technology? We are looking for dedicated Band 7 Clinical Informatics Midwife to join our team and support the Trust in deploying a new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system.
Join Our Team as a Band 7 Senior Clinical Informatics Midwife.
George Eliot NHS Trust is about to embark on its EPR digital journey and in order to do this we are now looking for Midwife to join our EPR team to deploy Oracle Health Cerner EPR.
Main duties of the job
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure the successful implementation of the EPR system.
- Provide training and support to healthcare professionals on the new system.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to the EPR.
- Ensure data integrity and security within the EPR system.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and protocols for EPR usage.

Job responsibilities
- To act as a digital clinical expert in liaison with divisional leads, clinicians, peers, service leads, digital and divisional governance structures, CNIO, CCIO and Deputy CCIO.
- Advising key stake holders on EPR and clinical systems optimisation and configuration and participating in clinical informatics advisory discussions within the division and as a team across the Trust
- Supporting, promoting and embedding digital capabilities from our clinical systems amongst colleagues in their respective areas
- Work in a strong and effective corporate manner with key stakeholders building strong influential relationships with staff at all levels.
- The post holder should be aware of the Digital Clinical Safety Standards DCB 0160 & DCB 0129 and the associated processes a Trust is expected to engage and undertake.
- Build effective alliances to ensure digital priorities are understood and reflect the needs of patients, in order to have significant impact on safety, quality, performance, patient and staff experience and staff effectiveness.
- Act as a leader for change ensuring that all activities and plans are effective and in line with shared divisional, digital and overall trust priorities and objectives
