We are recruiting for a People Development Facilitator to join our People Development service.
This role is open to people professionals who hold or are working towards a Level 5 CIPD qualification or equivalent within Learning and Development.
We are looking for somebody with demonstrable expert knowledge in training design, delivery and evaluation across a wide range of topics, including inducting and welcoming new starters to the Trust, statutory and mandatory training, soft skills and management development.
This is primarily a facilitator role, and so in this post you would be expected to develop and deliver learning to upskill colleagues from across the Trust.
Main duties of the job
Responsibility for the design, delivery and evaluation of learning solutions, to include the following;
- Management Development training
- Trust Appraisal proceses
- Corporate and Local induction
- Statutory and Mandatory training (Core Skills Training Framework- CSTF)
- Role specific essential skills training
- Identify opportunities to improve current PD outputs.
- Utilise own initiative to plan workload and make decisions independently, referring to the department manager or facilitators as appropriate or required.

As an experienced facilitator, the post holder will have the opportunity to make a difference to leaders, managers and their teams across our Trust. The post holder will be a key member of People Development team, and will hold overall responsibility for leading the design and facilitation of a wide range of learning interventions in order to drive performance excellence.
Main duties and Responsibilities
Responsibility for the design, delivery and evaluation of learning solutions, to include the following;
- Trust Appraisal process
- Management Development training
- Corporate and Local induction
- Statutory and Mandatory training (Core Skills Training Framework- CSTF)
- Role specific essential skills training
- Identify opportunities to improve current PD outputs.
- Utilise own initiative to plan workload and make decisions independently, referring to the department manager or facilitators as appropriate or required.
- Regular Quality and compliance monitoring and reporting, and provision of support to Directorates where required.
- Completing Trust wide or localised training needs analysis to identify skills and knowledge gaps- to include focus groups, consultation, action learning sets.
- Utilise a range of techniques to evaluate the impact of interventions.
Other duties
- To work collaboratively with other People Development Facilitators and Practice Educators to support with the delivery of a seamless package of education.
- To provide upskilling and regular feedback to subject matter experts who deliver on various clinical and non-clinical updates following evaluation of individual sessions.
- Take delegated responsibility for developing and keeping up to date, and implementing People Development related policy/ toolkits, e.g. induction, statutory and mandatory training, appraisal which will impact beyond the People Development function.
- To develop and maintain external networks in order to identify appropriate external training and development education funding
