Salary: £42,008 - £49,909 per annum

- The George Eliot is seeking to appoint a Clinical Fellow to commence as soon as available. This post is not recognised for training by the Postgraduate Dean however, the successful candidate will have the same teaching and training as Core Surgical Trainees.
- For the successful candidates this job will provide excellent exposure in Urology and training in a wide variety of acute and elective surgery and critical care, we are ideally looking for a candidate with 2 years' experience and above.
- The successful applicant will have a named Clinical and Educational Supervisor who will also provide career advice and support for onward career progression.
Main duties of the job
- Extensive training and experience will be gained with timetabled sessions in theatre, clinics and endoscopy as well as through formal protected teaching and lectures provided every week as part of our dedicated teaching Programme for junior doctors.
- There are monthly morbidity and mortality/clinical governance meetings during which participation is expected from the successful candidate. There will be opportunities to undertake audit and research throughout the year and is actively encouraged.
- Although this job is primarily aimed at doctors aspiring towards a career in a urology specialty it will also be of great benefit to those considering a career in Acute Care/A&E, ITU, Radiology, Sports Medicine among many other specialties as the generic skills and training acquired throughout the rotation will be of use in a great many aspects of professional practice.

- Attend new and follow up urology clinics.
