Senior Endoscopy Practitioner - Training
37.5 hours per week (6 day cover: Monday - Saturday)
Fixed term for 12 months/ Secondment
Salary: £37,338 - £44,962 (Saturday unsocial payments)

Main duties of the job
- To be based at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust however the Post holder must be flexible to work across areas covered by the Midlands Training Academy including Birmingham City Campus (BCU).
- To work with existing Senior Endoscopy Practitioner to create a positive learning environment in endoscopy for all staff groups including Registered Nurses, students, HCA's, Nursing associates and decontamination technicians ensuring staff are valued and supported in delivering high quality care.
- To support the George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust and Midlands Training Academy Faculty in the provision of training to medical and clinical endoscopists within the trust and taking part in teaching courses at BCU.
- To work in support of the lead nurse undertaking delegated duties as directed. Assisting the implementation of prescribed care within NICE guideline for patients undertaking Endoscopy Procedures and reporting any changes of a patient's condition to the lead nurse or Consultants.

- Ensure effective supervision and assessment of students and trainees within the endoscopy environment and promote clinical supervision activity.
