Job Title: Patient Services Booking Clerk
Hours per week: 37.5 hours per week (9.00 - 5.00 and 10.00 - 6.00 alternating shift patterns Monday - Friday)

Salary: £22,816 - £24,336 per annum

Main duties of the job
- To provide an administration and operational services to the Patient Services Department. To manage and maintain the Trust Surgical Waiting Lists and Theatre Lists. To assist and support Team Leader where necessary in the day-to-day management of the department.
- The post holder will be responsible for their own workload and where identified work for a specific waiting speciality or Consultants waiting list. The post holder will ensure they identify problems arising during the course of their daily duties, arising from the management of the theatre list and waiting list to the Team Leader. The post holder will ensure they prioritise their workload to ensure their work is completed and up to date, in particular when taking Annual Leave.

Prepare theatre list admissions for individual Consultants and for theatre operations and for non-theatre procedures by liaising with Consultants. Patients are identified from the waiting list reports taking into account the priority of the cases to the Surgeon. Identifying the suitability for Consultants, Registrars or other members of the team to perform an operation or procedure. Complete a working sheet for all admissions and then input the details onto the computerised Lorenzo and ORMIS system.
