Job Title: Pharmacy Receptionist (weekends only)
Hours per week: Part time - 15 hours per week (weekend working only - Saturday & Sunday 9am to 5pm)

Salary: £23,615 per annum pro rata

Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to fulfil a supporting role within the busy pharmacy weekend team as a pharmacy receptionist.
This will involve receiving work into the pharmacy department from staff and patients, tracking in the work using the PTS system. Allocating work to the correct area as required. Use of the WellSky pharmacy system to deal with queries and answering/ making calls to departments or staff to arrange collection of TTO's including Controlled Drugs and ward stocks. Also taking payment from patients for prescriptions and checking exemptions when required.

- To receive prescriptions, TTOs and ad-hoc requests.
- To collect prescription charges, balance cash, bank weekly at finance Department and answer telephones and answer queries from patients and hospital staff when undertaking reception duties.
- To file and maintain records of all documents relating to prescriptions.
- To be jointly responsible for storage, issuing, maintenance of records and audit trail of controlled stationery (including FP10HNC) to authorised receipts so that prescriptions may be written for patients to obtain from community pharmacies when hospital pharmacy is closed.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (e.g. Word) and Outlook.
- To answer telephones, channel messages, sort and distribute departmental mail and general filing/administrative duties.
