Main duties of the job
The Urology Team at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust are recruiting for a Urology Nurse to join their established friendly Nursing and Consultant team. Experience of working within the Urology Speciality required.
The person will be able to work autonomously and within the multidisciplinary team. The Urology Nurse will be expected to carry out nurse led procedures and clinics. A key role of the post will be to provide specialist advice and support patients with urological conditions.

To provide specialist advice to support the assessment, planning and management of patients accessing the Urology Service.
To provide clinical expertise within Urology Clinical team, acting as a role model in the delivery of patient care.
Carry out nurse led procedures and clinics.
The post holder will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team locally and externally to ensure standards of care maintained and work within the Urology service to promote service development within the speciality.
The Clinical Nurse will practice in collaboration with the lead CNS and wider multi-disciplinary team to assess, plan and implement patients care and provide highly specialist advice.
Act as a key worker to provide information and support for patients accessing the Urology Service.
The post holder will have the knowledge and skills to work autonomously managing his/ her caseload of patients.
The post holder is expected to act in a manner consistent with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct, carrying out his/her duties in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
