Main duties of the job

The Surgical Admissions Coordinator will provide vital support service to the Surgical Directorate in the delivery of timely, proactive patient flow management across the organisation.

The post holder is expected to use their initiative, remove barriers to understanding and use negotiating / influencing skills to support timely and appropriate patient placement.

The post holder will support in the creating of capacity across all surgical wards for emergency patients. They will work closely with the operational teams, theatres and the surgical assessment unit.
