Applications are invited from experienced, flexible Dental Nurses who hold the National Certificate in Dental Nursing or NVQ level 3 in Oral Healthcare and hold at least one additional post-certification qualification in NVQ Level 3 in Oral Healthcare, Certificate in Special Care Dentistry, Certificate in Sedation, Radiography, Certificate in Oral Health Promotion, We are also keen to candidates who holds a qualification certification/diploma in Health Promotion or a teaching qualification
We are recruiting to a full time position but willing to discuss a 30 hours working week. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required for this post. Main duties of the job
- Qualified Dental Nurse with the NEBDN certificate in Dental Radiography or working towards, will be able to act under prescription as an IR(ME)R operator, in order to safely take intra-oral and extra-oral radiographs of patients.
- To ensure a Quality Assurance program is undertaken within the service
- To act as a Radiation Protection Supervisor support for the site and maintain good compliance with both local and national guidelines.
- Alert Service's Radiation Protection Supervisors and the Dental Nurse Manager to issues which may affect learning, development and clinical performance.

Ensure the radiology service is run efficiently and effectively and that all radiation safety requirements are met.
You will also be responsible for providing close support dental nursing duties to clinicians at a variety of clinics throughout Warwickshire; to enable a full range of special care dentistry provision for our client groups.
