As a member of the maternal diabetic team you will be responsible for helping provide midwifery care to pregnant women/birthing people with diabetes and with other existing co-morbidities.This post is not suitable for newly qualified midwives or those waiting to do their OSCE.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the Head of midwifery in maintaining and improving high standards of care for diabetes in pregnancy. They will provide ante natal, post-natal and intrapartum care to women with diabetes in the hospital setting. The post holder will provide antenatal caseload care for women with type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. They will deliver care in a manner which promotes a woman centred focus.
The post holder will be responsible and accountable for the full range of care needs and develop, implement and evaluate programs of care throughout the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal period for women with diabetes and their newborn.
