Recruitment Lead - Fixed Term 6 months

37.5 hours per week including evenings and weekends when required

Salary: £28,407 - £34,581 per annum

I am looking for an experienced volume in house recruiter, who is confident with coordinating and driving all elements of the end to end recruitment life cycle for recruitment roles to reduce agency spend. Resourcing roles are fast paced and require organised individuals with great time management and customer service skills, who enjoy being hands on in the recruitment process

Main duties of the job

  • Drive and deliver high volume inclusive and responsive recruitment for all bulk vacancies, with particular initial focus on Domestics/ Ward Host or hard to fill roles
  • Be a subject matter expert for medical recruitment roles, to increase accuracy and reduce agency usage
  • Provide a seamless end to end recruitment process for all candidates, and support the recruiting managers to find the right people for the right roles
  • Reduce the time to hire from advert to the candidate starting in post, to support the Trust with reducing agency spend in high volume areas
  • Provide leadership across the Resourcing service
  • Design and update adverts for high volume roles, utilising inhouse and external advertising and social media platforms
  • Organise and communicate effective recruitment events for bulk vacancies which reduce barriers to applying for roles
  • Longlist and shortlist all applications so that applicants are invited to interviews in a timely manner
  • Coordinate and participate on interview panels and interview decision making as required. Act as a best practice advisor to panels, ensuring interviews are carried out appropriately and professionally in line with trust policies.
  • Utilise the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and manage the time that each process involved in the recruitment journey takes, to minimise any delays in getting appointable candidates into post

To lead on providing a fast paced and customer focused end to end recruitment process for bulk recruitment which ensures safer staffing and supports the Trust and Workforce to provide excellent patient care.

Design and update adverts for high volume roles, utilising inhouse and external advertising and social media platforms

Organise and communicate effective recruitment events for bulk vacancies which attract suitable candidates and reduce barriers to applying for roles

Longlist and shortlist all applications so that applicants are invited to interviews in a timely manner

Coordinate and participate on interview panels and interview decision making as required. Act as a best practice advisor to panels, ensuring interviews are carried out appropriately and professionally in line with trust policies.

Utilise the current Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and manage the time that each process involved in the recruitment journey takes, against set Trust KPIs to minimise any delays in getting appointable candidates into post

Identify bottlenecks and solutions to reduce Time to Hire KPIs for these bulk recruitment roles and improve the resourcing service user experience

To meet regularly with recruiting managers to understand resourcing requirements and problems; actively proposing solutions.

Attend meetings, and update all relevant teams with up-to-date recruitment and pipeline information for all bulk vacancies

Communicate and negotiate effectively with a range of stakeholders, often in challenging situations to ensure a smooth transition for applicants to become new starters

Work closely with the resourcing team and recruiting managers to ensure that all recruitment documentation is correct and up to date.

Liaise with the People Development teams to organise a planned induction process for new starters, so that all relevant training is carried out as soon as the new starter joins the trust

Work with the Resourcing Team to provide professional advice on immigration status and checking procedures; processing certificate of sponsorships, visa extensions and work permits as appropriate in accordance with Home Office and Government Statutory Guidance where applicable for applicants

Maintain the DBS application administration system ensuring that applications are submitted and DBS checks received, escalating any issues arising from the check in line with Trust Policy to the Resourcing Lead. Ensure that disclosure information is recorded and stored in line with Trust Policy.

Ensure new starter survey feed-back is captured, analysed and acted on monthly to continually improve the candidate experience for bulk recruitment vacancies

Create and implement SOPs and processes to streamline resourcing processes for the recruiting managers in these high volume areas

Record, update and maintain all forms of defined business/project related complex data, presentations, spread sheets and documentation in a timely, accurate and organised manner (paper & electronic), version controlled where required

Advise, coach and manage team members to achieve their individual objectives, and to support moving the recruitment process forwards

To be a first point of escalation for applicant queries/concerns in connection with the bulk recruitment process; referring to the People and Workforce Business Partners if necessary.

Responsible for ensuring that all recruitment is carried out in line with equality standards and applicants are not subject to discrimination directly or indirectly through recruitment processes and procedures.

Act as contact for complex/sensitive/contentious pay queries and complaints from new starters, ensuring investigation and resolution with reference to terms and conditions and exceptionally, where necessary to the Payroll, Pensions and Systems team.

Review and propose changes to payroll new starter and other transactional processes as part of the overall improvement process.
