An opportunity has arisen for a high calibre, enthusiastic and well-motivated individual to join our Clinical Audit Team within the Quality Governance Department. We are seeking a competent individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to support the Clinical Audit Team in driving the implementation of the Trusts Clinical Effectiveness and Assurance portfolio.
Clinical audit aims to improve the quality of our services through the systematic process of reviewing current practices and providing assurance, leading to better care and outcomes for patients.
The clinical audit team have regulatory responsibilities with CQC and supports the Trust to receive assurance that a range of standards are met to deliver safe and effective care to our patients through achievement of National and local audits.

Main duties of the job
We are currently looking for a Clinical Audit Officer on a permanent basis. This role will involve supporting the clinical directorates to implement an effective NICE guidance and clinical audit programme. The post holder will be key to supporting clinical audit activity within the Clinical Directorates and the Trust. You will also be central to supporting service developments, best practice, and training/development initiatives as informed by learning from serious incidents/errors, in conjunction with governance and Trust teams.
We are looking for a team player, with a strong sense of initiative, and excellent communication skills. You will be able to demonstrate a high level of organisational, analytical and IT skills, and have relevant experience.
A good understanding of the Microsoft Office Systems, and the ability to analyse large data sets with good attention to detail will be key to this role.
