Main duties of the job
Warwickshire Wide Special Care Dental Service Applications are invited from experienced, flexible Dental Nurses who hold the National Certificate in Dental Nursing or NVQ level 3 in Oral Healthcare and holds a relevant current Qualification / Certificate in Inhalation Sedation, to join our friendly, enthusiastic team.
We are recruiting to a full time position. Post to be based in Stratford Hospital , Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required for both post. Experience in General Dental Practice is desirable. Car owner/driver essential
To support Clinicians in a specialist Dental Service to provide high quality dental care for a wide range of patients with specialist needs, including medically compromised conditions, tolerance and access difficulties.
To provide chair side surgery assistance, as appropriate in the qualification of a Dental Nurse, for Clinicians in the performance of their range of complex specialism's in dental treatment.
A Dental Nurse is adaptable to perform those duties and responsibilities for running static and mobile clinics, and to work flexible times as patients' needs require.

- As requirement, to arrange, organise, co-ordinate and prepare for screening and epidemiological documentation. Liaise with school administration staff to ensure smooth running of sessions convenient to both schools and the Service. Work within a set time scale as defined nationally, complete all survey and follow up paperwork.
- To arrange appointments in conjunction with patients. To ensure recalls are processed as required.
Knowledge, Training & Experience
- To participate in regular Medical Emergency practice sessions and to be monitored and assessed competent for certification annually in ILS by a Life Support Trainer.
- Knowledge of archiving systems for each clinic.
- Following appropriate training Dental Nurses to work within the GA team and to follow the GA protocols as laid down by the Special Care Dental Service
