Main duties of the job

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES? Part of a ward-based team responsible for the provision of food and beverage service to 24/26 in patients,and the cleaning of the kitchen area.? To observe correct use and care of equipment, reporting faults and defects as necessary.? To regenerate food, maintaining appropriate temperature records and serve meals following advice fromclinical staff.? To comply with the requirements of Food Hygiene and Health and Safety legislation and local guidelines.? To provide the beverage service to patients following clinical advice, including collection, preparation anddistribution of water jugs and beakers.? Be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of kitchen and serving area, including crockery, cutlery,kitchen utensils and food trolley.? Where necessary assist patients with meal ordering.? Ensure adequate provisions are supplied to ward kitchen area and maintain appropriate records relatingto stock control.
