FY3/ST1+ Salary: £40,257 per annum
ST3 + Salary: £51,017 per annum - (dependent on evidence of experience)

Clinical Education Fellows are an essential and valued part of the multi-disciplinary Medical Education Team at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. This post is 100% education and provides pastoral and education support for postgraduate trainees.

Main duties of the job
The CEF will support delivery of postgraduate teaching and provide pastoral support for trainees
The post-holder with have an opportunity to complete a Post Graduate Certificate in Medical Education at Warwick University (for which Study Leave will be provided. No additional study leave is therefore allocated). The post-holder will also undertake undergraduate OSLER examiner training and OSCE examiner training.
Educationally the CEF will take part in delivery of the foundation doctor's curriculum including foundation trainee tutorials, clinical skills sessions, bedside teaching, simulation sessions and trainee assessment in the clinical area.
The CEF will be expected to work 10 sessions within education, 1 of which will be educational administration time.
Teaching commitments will mostly take place within the George Eliot Hospital and the George Eliot Training and Education Centre (GETEC) although there is also a requirement to travel occasionally to Foundation School meetings etc
