Main duties of the job
The Role
Applications are welcomed for enthusiastic and well-motivated Trust Doctors (FY1 Level) in Trauma and Orthopaedics post based at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust to commence as soon as possible, for a period of 6 months with the possibility of further extension, subject to pre-employment checks.
The department consists of 7 consultants providing elective and emergency care.
The FY1 workforce form an essential part of delivery of high quality care and augments the middle grade structure around both training and service needs for both tiers. The successful candidate will be required to look after both Elective and Trauma patients. Their main duty will be to support the senior staff by attending ward rounds and reviewing patients. They will have an opportunity to assist in theatre and clinics and take part in clinical audit.
Applicants must hold full GMC registration and should possess the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, have good interpersonal skills, and have a caring attitude towards patients and evidence of good clinical practice
