An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Clinical Fellow in the department of Anaesthetics with opportunities in pre-hospital medicine. Our department has a diverse blend of 25 consultants with a wealth of experience that lends itself to providing first class care and a unique training experience. We pride ourselves on being a very approachable, flexible and proactive.

Main duties of the job
We will provide a closely mentored fellowship with specific opportunities to support your interest in pre-hospital medicine. In addition to these, you will contribute to regular day time activity across specialties and to resident on call duties.

Resident on-call duties are on a 1:8 rota with prospective cover and will cover either general or obstetric anaesthesia services, or ICU. These hours are 08:00-18:00, 08:00-20:30 and 20:00-08:30. There are three tiers of resident anaesthetic and intensive care cover within the hospital who work as a team to provide out of hour cover with non-resident consultant support.
Elective activity will include supervised elective lists and/or ICU.
You will be an active member of the hospital medical emergencies team.
You will undertake intra- and inter-hospital critical care transfers.
