An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to support the Consultant Anaesthetist and Junior/Reg team across the Surgical Division for 37.5 hours per week, on a 10 month fixed term basis. The required hours of the post will be Monday - Friday 7.5 hours per day.
This is a very busy role supporting the clinical teams in delivering quality rotas that are safe, cost-effective, efficient and fair. We are looking for an individual who will be highly motivated to take on a new challenge, in return this post will offer excellent development opportunities. Key stakeholders will also include Surgical workforce, medical locums, HR, operational managers and medical staff in order to coordinate staffing operationally.
The successful candidate will require excellent organisational and communication skills, demonstrate the ability to work self-sufficiently, using their own initiative and be willing to be adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of the service. The individual must also have the ability to work well under pressure and have the desire to provide a first class service for patients and the clinical teams.
Previous experience of working within a Healthcare environment is desirable but not essential.
Main duties of the job
An integral part of the role is the efficient deployment of Consultant Anaesthetist and Junior/Reg staff and targeting locum cover needs for safe medical staff cover within the departments/hospital, adhering to, agreed minimum staffing levels set by Associate Medical Directors, Clinical Directors and operational management teams. The post holder is pivotal in personally assisting the directorate management teams within the Surgical division, and all medical staff/clinicians and being a first point of contact for all specified service queries.
The post holder is responsible for keeping accurate attendance records and is expected to contribute to workforce planning.
