Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the Trust to shape and deliver transformational change aligned to the NHS 10 year plan ambitions. Herefordshire has a strong history of collaboration across partners in Health and Care. The postholder will oversee the management accounts of clinical Divisions, provide financial and commercial leadership, work collaboratively with operational leadership, clinical teams and system partners and be a key part of the Finance Senior Leadership team.
This role will report to the Deputy CFO. As a small Trust, this role offers regular access to the Executive team and wider System partners, supporting professional development and exposure to a diverse range of opportunities.
The aim of the role is to provide proactive financial leadership of the highest standard, advising on all aspects of financial management while driving and supporting transformational change across the Trust and within our Herefordshire Place.
The post holder will have a senior role in the financial performance management of Clinical Divisions and be expected to support, challenge and positively influence financial management, providing strong financial leadership and commercial acumen. Working collaboratively to improve efficiency, effectiveness and achieve best use of resources.
This role is based across the main NHS sites in Herefordshire while also embracing the option of agile working, through a combination of on-site working and working from home.
Main duties of the job
The role requires an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work as a Senior Finance Manager.
You will lead the delivery of timely and accurate monthly financial positions, analysis and reporting, providing proactive day-to-day financial leadership to support service development, drive efficiencies and contribute to transformational change, with a clear focus on medium-term financial sustainability for the Trust and with system partners.
You will lead, motivate and engage your finance team through close, collaborative working, fostering a supportive environment that encourages high performance and continuous improvement.
