This is an ideal job for doctors wishing to take a year out from training or getting more experience in Geriatric Medicine, with clinical supervision and support for portfolio interests available to help with future career development.
This posts will provide excellent medical experience, teaching, and opportunities for learning.
The post will not include participation in the acute medical on call rota.
The post will be fixed term until start of August 2026 in the first instance, mutually agreed extension may be available.
This post may close early if we receive a high volume of interest.
Main duties of the job
Clinical
The post holder will be working in the Frailty Block within Geriatric medicine gaining experience in all aspects of inpatient Geriatric medicine. Weekend cover of Geriatric medicine will be on a one in four rota.
Non-clinical
Supervision and support of doctors in training and ACPs as appropriate to experience and competence. Quality improvement, education and training and audit will be supported in development of a high quality acute medicine service within the trust.
All posts are whole-time. However part time/ job share will be considered.
