An exciting opportunity has arisen to continue our Specialist Clinical Fellow Programme to replace our current Fellows. The County Hospital in Hereford, part of the Wye Valley NHS Trust is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The constantly evolving and dynamic urology department is looking for a motivated middle grade to support current and newly developed services.
The Urology department is a cohesive and harmonious team consisting of four consultants, a deanery appointed SpR, five urology CNS's 3 Senior Clinical Fellows along with a Clinical Education Fellow. A wide range of urological services are offered including oncology, functional urology and stone services. The successful candidate will be involved in supporting clinics, flexible cystoscopy and theatres in addition to an on-call rota.
The post is ideal for candidates looking to enhance their urological experience and CV, especially if considering an application for a National Training Number as the post offers protected theatre and research/audit time.
Main duties of the job
The post is based at Wye Valley NHS Trust Hospital, General Surgical Directorate working with the Urology team. On call commitments are yet to be finalised but will be time working compliant and notexcessive. The post holder would be expected to attend outpatient clinics, theatre sessions, ward rounds, to participate in the daily management of patients including paperwork.
Where there is a requirement for weekend or premium time working there will be consideration of the impact on the routine delivery within the job plan.
