Job summary

We are currently looking for a part timeRegistered Band 4 Nurse Associate, to join our team at the Urology Diagnostic Centre Outpatient Department, at Hereford County Hospital.

The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Supporting, students is also an essential part of the role We are a forward thinking department, and actively encourage ongoing staff and service development.

Main duties of the job

Skills

  • Clinics:
    • Supporting patients undergoing TWOC (Trial without catheter)
    • Uroflow - Flow and Scan Test
  • Being the patients advocate
  • Being a chaperone for patients undergoing examination
  • Supporting the doctors/CNS within the procedure room , E.g. Flexible Cystoscopy, Diathermy , Botox Local Anaesthetic Template Biopsy, Urodynamics , Lithotripsy
  • Venepuncture
  • Catheterisation
  • Administration of Medication
  • Wound Care
  • Supporting Students within the department.

  • Previous experience as a Healthcare Support Worker involved in direct patient care in a care environment
