Job summary
We are currently looking for a part timeRegistered Band 4 Nurse Associate, to join our team at the Urology Diagnostic Centre Outpatient Department, at Hereford County Hospital.
The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Supporting, students is also an essential part of the role We are a forward thinking department, and actively encourage ongoing staff and service development.
Main duties of the job
Skills
- Clinics:
- Supporting patients undergoing TWOC (Trial without catheter)
- Uroflow - Flow and Scan Test
- Being the patients advocate
- Being a chaperone for patients undergoing examination
- Supporting the doctors/CNS within the procedure room , E.g. Flexible Cystoscopy, Diathermy , Botox Local Anaesthetic Template Biopsy, Urodynamics , Lithotripsy
- Venepuncture
- Catheterisation
- Administration of Medication
- Wound Care
- Supporting Students within the department.
Being Accountable
- Uphold The Code of Conduct (NMC) and the reputation of the profession
- To work within the NMC code of professional practice, and within policies, procedures and guidelines of the Royal United Foundation Trust.
- To take responsibility for own continuing professional development and performance, identifying their own developmental requirements and ensuring that all mandatory training is completed.

- Maintain an understanding of caring for vulnerable individuals that visit the Urology Department with particular conditions.
