Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Clinical Divisional Management Teams at Wye Valley Trust in Herefordshire. As a Senior Finance Manager you will work collaboratively with operational leadership and clinical teams and be a key part of the Finance Senior Leadership team.

As a small Trust we are able to offer regular contact with both CFO and Deputy CFO and the wider Executive team, supporting career progression and exposure to a wide range of opportunities.

The aim of the role is to provide proactive financial leadership of the highest possible standard advising on all aspects of financial management.

The post holder will have a senior role in the financial performance management of the Divisions and be expected to support, challenge and positively influence financial management. Working collaboratively to improve efficiency, effectiveness and achieve best use of resources.

This role is based across the main NHS sites in Herefordshire while also embracing the option of agile working, through a combination of on-site working and working from home, should this flexibility be attractive to the right candidate.

Main duties of the job

The role requires an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work as a Senior Finance Manager.

The post holder will be the financial lead for two clinical Divisions. You will lead on monthly reporting, service development, efficiency and annual business planning for these areas.

You will lead and motivate our finance colleagues and work closely with your Deputy Finance Manager in providing this service.

  • Professionally qualified as an Accountant with current CCAB or CIMA professional membership.
