Job summary
Trainee Clinical Endoscopist
As a Trainee Clinical Endoscopist, the post holder is responsible for delivering lower endoscopy service lists. These may be at either the Hereford or Ross on Wye hospitals.
They will work in partnership with Clinical, Nursing, Administrative and Managerial teams to ensure professional standards of excellence within Endoscopy. To be a resource and provide specialist support and advice to other healthcare professionals. To play a key role in the implementation of national guidelines and recommendations related to endoscopy, and to work closely with the Lead Clinician/Senior Clinical Endoscopist for Endoscopy and multidisciplinary team to facilitate the development of endoscopy services, Colorectal screening and training and assessments accredited to Joint Advisory Group for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (JAG).
The post holder will provide expert advice, support and education to patients, relatives and professional colleagues and will participate in clinical audit/research, provide an evidence base for nursing practise and ensure clinical effectiveness, complete a relevant academic training course in Clinical Endoscopy Training to meet all assessments and achieve approved accreditation as a Clinical Endoscopist.
