2 x Qualified Dental Nurse Dental Access Centre Gaol St/ Asda

Full Time hours preferred however part time hours will be considered, Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm with one day a week 8.30-pm finish.

The Dental Access Centre is a large team, therefore is able to support further career progression through a range of post registration training. This could lead to future opportunities within the dental team.

We are currently looking for a GDC registered Dental Nurse to join our team in providing excellent support to the dental team within the Dental Access Centre. Dedicated to providing the smooth and efficient running of the surgery in providing a high standard of dental care to the patients exclusively NHS routine and urgent dental care to people of all ages including those varied special care/additional needs and those who have had difficulty accessing GDS NHS dental care at sites across Herefordshire.

You must be able to travel across Herefordshire occasionally in the delivery of dental care.

Starting salary dependant on experience ranging from £21,730 - £23,177.

Main duties of the job

The Dental Access Centre is an open access dental facility offering exclusively NHS dental care to residents of Herefordshire and visitors to the County who are vulnerable or who do not access regular dental care from a General Dental Practitioner.

The Dental Nurse is a key member of the dental health team devoted to the smooth and efficient running of the surgery in providing a high standard of dental care to the patients.

The Dental Nurse will be expected to undertake, surgery duties including Be responsible for the preparation and organisation of the dental surgery where clinical procedures take place.

Surgery work consists of all aspects of chairside support for the clinician in the clinical care of their patients, including the setting out of instruments and mixing of materials for a wide range of dental treatments.

The post holder will be responsible for the decontamination and safe management of dental instruments, laboratory items, in accordance with HTM 01-05.
