Job summary
**RELOCATION EXPENSES AVAILABLE**
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Pharmacist with an interest in Cardiology. The post involves leading the provision of medicines optimization to our Cardiology teams in a varied and dynamic division.
The successful candidate will work closely with the ward based teams implementing the principles of the modern day ward round, using skills, knowledge and experience to directly impact on patient care.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will lead and support the Pharmacy Service provided to the Medical Specialities Directorate, specifically the Cardiology Speciality. This includes responsibility for Cardiology Services as well as pharmacy staff working in the specialty team.
The post holder will be responsible for the pharmaceutical care to the Cardiology speciality including clinical, medicines safety, and financial governance associated with medicines use.
There is operational commitment to the Pharmacy Service weekends and BH's on a formal rota (currently 1:6)

Essential
- MPharm & registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacist
- Post graduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or equivalent experience to a similar level
- Independent Prescribing Qualification or prepared to undertake this in the short term
- Evidence of CPD and study beyond registration in line with requirements for revalidation and demonstrating commitment to lifelong learning.
Desirable
- Membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain
- Post Graduate qualifications relating to Cardiac medicine or be willing to work towards this

- Able to demonstrate a clear understanding of clinical pharmacy practice relating to cardiac medicine
- Able to process complex clinical information in an accurate and timely manner
