Job summary

An exciting opportunity has become available within our Ophthalmology Admin department. We are advertising a position for a Clerical Assistant to work within and alongside both our General Ophthalmology team and Retinal service.

This is an opportunity to start out your career within Administration in the NHS - We are offering a supportive and progressive role, with high job satisfaction. The successful candidate will be working in a role which offers the individual a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, dealing with a large multidisciplinary team on a daily basis. The individual will be engaging with different departments and colleagues throughout the hospital, both Clerical and Clinical.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a team worker dedicated to helping to provide toward the best service for our patients. The successful candidate will require excellent organisational skills, demonstrate the ability to work independently, using their own initiative and be willing to be adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of the Service.

The post is for 37.5 hours per week working within core office hours Monday to Friday.

Previous experience of working within a Healthcare environment is desirable but not essential.
