Cancer Project Officer, Fixed Term, Band 6 (Indicative banding)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Cancer Services team as a project officer to lead on the implementation of a wide range of cancer projects .
As a Band 6 Project Officer, you will responsible for working with cancer specialties to implement a wide range of cancer projects in order to improve cancer performance to meet both local and national targets.
The role will be based at Hereford County Hospital with the opportunity for agile working.
Main duties of the job
- To lead on delivering a wide range of Caner Projects across the Trust on behalf of the Deputy General Manager, Cancer Lead Professional and Cancer Services Manager. The post holder will be expected to work autonomously and escalate up to senior management when required.
- To create and maintain complex project documentation to ensure that all stakeholders have visibility of risks, actions, incidents and decisions relating to each project. Projects will run simultaneously and therefore the ability to manage numerous tasks alongside one another is essential.
- To work with cancer specialties to identify improvements and create new processes within the parameters of both local operational policies and procedures and national frameworks and guidance.
- To complete complex audits and interrogate data to work autonomously to formulate cancer actions plans to improve performance. The post holder will need to work closely with cancer specialties to work through required actions, keep an accurate record of progress made and any blockages.
