Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 7 musculoskeletal physiotherapist to join our friendly and dynamic children's community physiotherapy team.

We have one post available:

A full time permanent post (37.5 hours) working at Band 7 level. You will be joining the Children's Physiotherapy Team based at The Benet Building, Ruckhall Lane, Belmont, Hereford, HR2 9RZ

**Although the post is advertised as full time hours, we would consider part time hours**

The post holder should have relevant experience of maintaining a musculoskeletal paediatric physiotherapy caseload and be committed to providing high quality, evidence based practice and excellent patient experience. Physiotherapists with significant adult musculoskeletal experience and an interest in paediatrics will be considered as part of a developmental band 6 to band 7 role.

Main duties of the job

The team comprises of nine qualified members of staff and one physiotherapy assistant. We are a friendly and supportive community team providing a comprehensive physiotherapy service to children aged from 0 to 18 years with a variety of conditions.

This post will be focused on providing musculoskeletal assessments and treatments in a variety of clinic locations across Herefordshire including one to one sessions and group work. You will provide specialist assessment and treatment to a variety of children, demonstrating clinical autonomy, clinical reasoning and working as part of the multi-disciplinary team.

You will need excellent communication and organisational skills, being able to prioritise your workload, manage your time efficiently and work effectively within the team. You will be involved in day to day management of the physiotherapy service and work with the team lead to develop the service further.

The team meet together every week to allow the opportunity to share information and support each other in their clinical development alongside monthly clinical supervision and in-service training sessions. You will build close links with our adult msk physiotherapy colleagues to share skills and knowledge alongside joining multidisciplinary, general paediatric teaching sessions. You will play an active part in this ongoing training providing leadership, support and teaching to colleagues and students in order to support your own professional development and others.

Desirable

  • vidence of Post Grade specialist qualification and willingness to undertake further training at Masters level
