The Dermatology Department is looking to appoint a further dermatology speciality doctor to join their dynamic and expanding team.
We have a great Dermatology Department in Hereford, winning the BMJ Dermatology Team of the Year Award 2022! Full of talented, forward thinking and passionate professionals. We have a brand new outpatient department at Gaol Street a short walk from the main hospital with offices, outpatient clinics, phototherapy and surgical rooms all on one site.
Our Teledermatology service has been leading in performance and scope nationally.
All consultants have sub speciality interests and we would actively encourage such an interest in any new member of the team.
We have one associate specialist and two speciality doctors in post already with a rotating GPVTS SHO. We have a team of excellent and dedicated clinical nurse specialists in skin cancer and inflammatory dermatology including phototherapy, photodynamic therapy and iontophoresis.

Main duties of the job
This post will cover independent working in general dermatology clinics, teledermatology and skin cancer surgery with the option to develop specialist clinics in the individual's area of interest and even work towards CESR. We welcome applicants who can bring new skills and areas of expertise to our expanding department. The post holder will be asked to take up a role contributing to departmental development such as audit and governance lead.
The indicative job plan is for 7.5 PAs.
