Main duties of the job
- In an Emergency Department, more than any other department, close working relationships with nursing staff, all specialities, physiotherapy and radiography staff is essential.
- The GPSTS /FY2S work a Full Shift pattern on a 1:8 basis
- The majority of the duties are within the Emergency Department and at all times senior cover is available either within the department, or senior staff can be reached by telephone.
- There is no administrative involvement.There is a regular ED follow up clinic for patients who may require review.
- The Department carries out reduction of most common fractures and dislocations. Initial treatment may include overnight admission.
- Hereford is a receiving site for CRBN incident patients and Clinical Fellows are expected to be part of that team and training will be given.
