Job summary

The 0-19 School Nursing Service has an exciting opportunity for a Band 4 Public Health Associate to join their team.

The post holder will work as part of 0-19 Service delivering a high-quality service for children and their families. As a member of the 0-19 Service the Band 4 Public Health Associate will undertake vision screening, contribute to the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP), record designated observations, and take on Public Health tasks within this service provision. The aim is to achieve equity of health outcomes for the local population through the provision of an evidence based and needs led service. Under the supervision of the School Nurse, the post holder will also participate in developing programmes and packages of public health care and auditing enabling feedback and progression for the service. This will be offered within the framework of national and local targets and priorities to deliver improved outcomes for the children of Wolverhampton.
