Job summary
The post holder will have responsibility for the 24-hour management of clinical speciality to ensure all statutory standards and Trust Policies and Procedures are implemented and always maintained thereby ensuring the safety of patients and staff groups.
To ensure the provision and monitoring of high-quality standards of care to patients in the designated speciality.
To support the Clinical Governance process within the theatre environment and to participate in planning of developments within the service and manage change to accomplish such in conjunction with the Matron and Group Manager.
To enhance effective working relationships by developing and maintaining good communications and networks with all disciplines within the Directorate, Trust, and external agencies. Promote a multi-professional approach to ensure optimum patient care.
Main duties of the job
Successful candidates must demonstrate an ability to lead and manage a team and their clinical area on a day-to-day basis with support from the divisional senior leadership team. You will be expected to work within the multidisciplinary team and be able to represent the department when required. Staff engagement is essential to this role, and you will be active in staff health and wellbeing.
