Senior Clinical Photographer - Teledermatology

Job summary
- Responsible for the clinical photography undertaken for the Tele-dermatology and Tele-dermoscopy service for the Royal Wolverhampton and Walsall Hospital Trusts and when required, at any site where Clinical Photography services are provided by the Trust.
- Ability to use location and studio lighting in a variety of photographic situations to accurately record a clinical condition is essential. Provide illustrative advice and recommendations to medical staff to ensure that clinical conditions are recorded using the most appropriate views / techniques so enabling satisfactory assessment of such clinical conditions.
- Photography of all clinical conditions including specialist techniques such as wet dermoscopy using polarized and non-polarised patient contact techniques. Cross lighting, mole mapping, UV and IR photography as required.
Main duties of the job
- Responsible for the clinical photography undertaken for the Tele-dermatology and Tele-dermoscopy service for the Royal Wolverhampton and Walsall Hospital Trusts and at any site where Clinical Photography services are provided by the Trust.
- Accurately capture clinical and non-clinical stills and video images. Provide advice to users, as and when necessary, regarding illustration solutions.
- Use professional judgement and experience to interpret complex information from clinical request form, provide clinicians with high quality clinical photographs and videos for all specialist areas such as, Dermatology, Orthodontics, Maxillofacial and Plastic Surgery. These images will be used for clinical assessment, patient records, teaching, publication and research.
Hold full professional membership of the Institute of Medical Illustrators and AHCS registration.
