Job summary
Are you enthusiastic and passionate about supporting families and babies, have excellent communication skills and are looking for a challenging role where you can help support and nurture new parents and babies then join our neonatal services.

Neonatal support workers (NSWs) are an integral part of the neonatal workforce and play an important role in supporting nurses and the wider teams, mothers and their babies through the postnatal period.
Main duties of the job
The Neonatal Support Worker (NSW) will work together with the members of the nursing team to provide a high standard of care to families. He / she will be competent to undertake and record designated observations and clinical procedures, once trained and declared competent in that task, under the direction and guidance of the nursing staff. They will ensure appropriate equipment is available and support the midwife. In addition the post holder will inform and educate women in all aspects of Post Natal Health Education.

This post is working throughout neonatal services - all areas / rotational contract / days and nights / weekend working
