Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated individual to join our physiotherapy and occupational therapy team as senior support workers. We have 2 opportunities available, one in orthopaedic inpatients and another in outpatients, managing patients with long term conditions. We are a friendly, supportive and dynamic team; we offer regular individual supervision, opportunities for CPD, annual appraisals, training and regular in-service training.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of qualified therapists and also independently in providing physiotherapy and occupational therapy treatments to patients.
Good communication is essential to the role, as you will be delivering individual therapy to patients. The role will include performing simple, non-complex assessments, progression of treatments, gait re-education, providing mobility aids and teaching/supervising exercise programmes individually and in groups.
There is a requirement to travel as the team are located at our New cross Hospital & Cannock Hospital sites across a 7 day rota.
Experience in exercise is required and an appropriate qualification such as a Sports Science degree or equivalent is desirable.
