Job summary
We are looking for two experienced AutoCAD Technicians to join our team of Bank Workers.
The apppointed technicians shall have significant experience with AutoCAD and be willing to develop their skills in 3D modelling systems within the AutoDesk. As a baseline, the applicants will be able to work on their own initative and collate all existing drawing and O&Ms to create a library of the Trust floor plans, maintaining and improve on the existing plans. Building and engineering information will be developed in a layering system to follow the sub headings with the NHS PAM and register of Master Drawing maintained.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible to manage and control the Trusts CAD system and Estates drawingsand buildings information data bases.To survey, update and maintain accurate drawings of the Trusts estate.To ensure that all information is filed, is easily retrievable and is kept up to date.You will be the first point of contact for Trust staff, Design Consultants and Contractors for drawing records and archive information relating to buildings, building services and capital projects.

To survey, design, develop, implement and manage and maintain all estate plans and records using the computerised AutoCAD system and other software packages as appropriate.To be proficient in the use of AutoCAD 2010 and Microsoft Office software including, word processing, spread sheets, databases etc.To assist in the surveying and measuring areas of the hospital to support the production of drawings for general use by Trust project managers and other staff, Design Consultants and Contractors.To design, implement and manage a computer based Operating and Maintenance, Manual system.Maintain and update building layouts including mechanical and electrical services and fire strategies where appropriate.To prepare feasibility plans and schematic layouts on projects in both 2D and 3D where Version Jan 23 appropriate for discussions with Trust teams and inform business case development.Preparation of drawings of Trust/Tenants demise in relation to lease/licence agreements for both Trust owned and leased properties and where the Trust is tenant in properties owned by others.To actively participate in the estates departments statutory working groups and report on status of drawings against particular specialist areas of statutory compliance in respect of medical gas, ventilation, water systems and electrical services as required.To take account of key legislation and Health & Safety demands when producing design options.To assist in Planning and Building Control applications as requiredTo liaise with external Architects, Consultants, Contractors, Statutory bodies, Trust Project Managers and others having input into capital developments to obtain and exchange necessary information to allow development and updating of records.To undertake mandatory training and other professional development training as required.To work in close liaison with the Project Manager, Projects and Estates and the Property Services Manager to ensure all building information for the Trusts estate and tenancies is current and available at all times.To develop and implement local processes and procedures for the maintenance, updating, storage and retrieval of all building records.
