Job summary
This is an opportunity to join a Primary Care Network working for the Royal Wolverhampton Trust, made up of 9 GP Practices. The role will be to provide a comprehensive and efficient medical secretarial service to the clinical staff within the Primary Care Network (PCN). This has come at a time of great innovative changes in IT and technology in Primary Care and will be an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in EMIS web, electronic referral systems and someone who has a clear understanding of what is required for Primary Care.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will centrally support practices within the RWT PCN with their medical secretarial needs including but not limited to:
Raising of referrals via the electronic referral system (eRS) and compiling various documentation of a complex nature to provide optimal patient care.
Managing, progress and chase results of patient investigations/ urgent and non-urgent referrals daily and on receipt, prioritise and action according to clinical need.
Process solicitor's requests for patients records and recording and billing of Insurance/Medical reports in an accurate and timely manner.
Compiling medical reports as requested and collating information for subject access requests utilising relevant clinical software to complete reports.
Ensure all correspondence is entered onto the practice clinical system to a high standard
Provide a point of contact for a range of health care professionals across the PCN and also patients/relative/carers ensuring communication barriers are overcome.
