Job summary
The specific aim of this role is to support the growing molecular pathology services at BCPS and to assist the consultant pathologists in reporting results and providing advice to clinical users.
Work as part of a team providing a timely and accurate high-quality molecular pathology service.
Receiving requests for molecular testing and troubleshooting queries, understanding the escalation process to senior management.
The post holder will be required to demonstrate a significant level of initiative in organizing their workload and in making decisions and taking action in accordance with departmental policy.
Main duties of the job
To provide high-quality word-processing facilities with, medical terminology, as required by Medical Staff, ensuring that the work is completed in an efficient and timely manner.
Successful candidates would be expected to work during core laboratory hours of Monday to Friday 08.30 to 17.00, early shift 7:30 - 16:00 and a late shift 11:00- 19:30.
Candidates must have a minimum of GCSE Mathematics and English or equivalent. In addition, candidates must have a word processing and / or typing qualification such as OCR I / II or equivalent.
