Job summary
An exciting opportunity within our Planned Care - District Nursing Team has arisen for a 12-month secondment Service Delivery Manager position.
The Adult Community Services Group is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated, and experienced individual to join the management team to support the development of services within the Planned Care - District Nursing Team.
As the Service Delivery Manager, it is essential that you are pro-active, adaptable, and flexible to meet the needs of the service. The applicant must have evidence of excellent leadership & management skill sets with experience in service development and improvement methodologies. Experience in the delivery of high quality and safe care is desirable. In addition, you the individual will need to clearly demonstrate commitment to and development of the portfolio to ensure all requirements of the agenda are met, working well and collaboratively with teams across all Directorate to ensure work is prioritised and aligned.

The Service Delivery Manager is expected to work for the clinical and business success of the Group, and to contribute to the corporate success of the Trust.
Main duties of the job
The Service Delivery Manager is accountable to the Matron to support the effective and efficient operational and clinical management of Planned Care ensuring delivery of high-quality patient care services.
A core aspect of the role will be supporting the Matron in the delivery of all performance targets, including, contracted activity, finance, service standards/quality and service productivity & efficiency. This will include ensuring effective co-ordination of agreed performance objectives as well as working closely on business planning. The individual should contribute to the development and continuous improvement of processes.
In conjunction with the Matron ensure that Business, Finance and Performance, Risk Management and Governance are appropriately carried out. To facilitate staff and team development and that effective communication systems operate within the areas of responsibility.
The role available will offer a fantastic opportunity to be integral to the Community Transformational Programme in redesigning community services to meet the needs of our population and looking at new ways to support people at home and preventing hospital admission.
The individual needs to demonstrate proven managerial, leadership, strategic thinking, and quality improvement experience.
Knowledge of clinical services is essential. Experience of working in the clinical setting is desirable.
