Job summary
We are currently looking to recruit a dynamic, enthusiastic, motivated forward thinking individual to work within the Support Team of our busy Estates & Facilities Department.
The successful applicant must have a good understanding of Engineering Services particularly quality aspects of service provision. An appreciation of the Health and Safety elements within the work environment would be advantageous.
Your primary role will be to assist the Assurance Manager in assessing "Best Practice" in all areas of Engineering Services within the Health Care environment.
To support these initiatives, experience of NHS Premises Assurance Model (PAM) or BSI EN 18001 would be welcomed. Basic computer skills are vital for the role which will include the use of Microsoft application and bespoke programmers such as Planet FM.
The post holder will be expected to work flexibly for an average 37.5 hours between the hours of 08:00 - 17:00 hours as the service demands.
Main duties of the job
(Management) Culture within the Estates management and operational service`s.
Specifically with the Compliance Manager and Estate Information Officer assist in the further development of a fully integrated information systems incorporating,
NHS Premises Assurance Model (PAM).
BSI (ISO) 9001, BSI (EN) 18001 and where applicable Health Technical Memorandum.
Undertake operational & procedural audits of specific Estates actions and activities involved in the discharge of its Estates responsibilities.
Working collaboratively with all levels of Estates personnel prepare and distribute quality & compliance reports from audits and discuss these within all levels of Estates and where considered beneficial recommend organizational or operational alterations.
Assist the development of and when required provide technical guidance procedures regarding the management of Estates information and This initiative will incorporate both a wide range of digital systems and where required an approved and recognized physical means of storage and retrieval. It is anticipated to be mid to long term action and will involve liaison with a wide range of Estates personnel and possibly external support expertise.
Understand basic quality control systems and where required attend training to further develop the application and implementation of these systems.
