0-19 Children Public Health Associates (Community Nursery Nurse)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Public Health Associate to join the Wolverhampton 0-19/Health Visiting Team. As a Public Health Associates you will have a nursery nurse qualification or equivalent and experience of working within early years settings or the health service, and skilled in communicating with professionals and clients from a wide variety of backgrounds.
The team are seeking dynamic individuals with a strong public health focus who are fully committed to improving the health and wellbeing of our diverse population. You will be a highly motivated individual with an interest in proactively managing health promotion initiatives.
The successful candidates must be up to date in child development, demonstrate good communication skills, be enthusiastic, motivated, with high standards of time management, able to work independently and as part of a team.
The role will involve working alongside a skilled mix team which includes Health Visitors, Community Staff Nurses and School Nurses, workers in delivering the healthy child programme 0-19 years.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of 0-19 Service delivering a high quality service for children and their families. As a member of the 0-19 Service the Band 4 will undertake Public Health tasks within this service provision. The aim is to achieve equity of health outcomes for the local population through the provision of evidence based and needs led service. Under the supervision of the SCPHN (HV) and (SN), the post holder will participate in developing programmes and packages of public health care and auditing enabling feedback and progression for the service. This will be offered within the framework of national and local targets and priorities to deliver improved outcomes for the children of Wolverhampton.
